About the workshop
The luthier workshop of Jan Pawlikowski situated in Cracow has operated for 55 years. Its services have been used
by illustrious musicians: Kaja Danczowska, Teresa Głąbówna, Krzysztof Jakowicz, Stefan Kamasa, Jerzy Kosmala,
Ivan Monighetti, Wiesław Kwaśny among many others.
Instruments crafted by Jan Pawlikowski serve soloists, chamber and orchestra musicians from all over the world: concertmasters and musicians of the K. Szymanowski’s Philharmonic in Cracow and the Krakow Opera; Sinfonietta Cracovia; Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra; Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra; the Koszalin State Philharmonic Orchestra; Opéra Royal de Wallonie of Liège, Belgium; the Strasbourg Philharmonic Orchestra, France; the Berlin Philharmonic and the Deutsche Oper Berlin, Germany; Salzburg Mozarteum Orchestra and many others. The workshop’s output is popular among professors and students of both national and foreign academies and university colleges of music. Baroque instruments are a considerable part, including those manufactured for Royal College of Music of London; Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz or Cappella Gedanensis in Gdańsk.
